What happened on my birthday?
Enter the month and day you were born. You will get the events, births and deaths recorded for that date, the people who share it, and the lore that goes with the day — star sign, birthstone, birth flower and season. Add your year and the page also works out your exact age, the weekday you were born on and the milestones ahead.
What the report gives you
- Your day in history — everything recorded for that calendar date, births first.
- Birthday twins — the notable people born on the same day, with their profiles.
- Day lore — star sign with its dates and element, birthstone, birth flower, season, day number and week number.
- With a year — exact age in years, months and days; age in days, weeks and hours; the weekday you were born; your next birthday and the weekday it falls on; Chinese zodiac; generation; the moon phase on the night; and your next round-number day milestone.

Before you start
Do I have to enter my birth year?
No. The month and day alone give you the history of your date, who shares it and the lore that goes with it. Adding the year unlocks your exact age, the weekday you were born and your milestone days.
Is my birthday stored anywhere?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser. The date appears in the page address so you can bookmark or share the result, and nothing is written to our records.
What if I was born on 29 February?
The leap-day page works like any other. Age counts from the real date, and in common years the next-birthday figure uses 28 February — the report says which convention it used.
