Her accolades include a Golden Globe Award, two Critics Choice Awards, and an NAACP Image Award, along with nominations for an Academy Award, two Actor Awards, a British Academy Film Award, and a Grammy Award. She was named one of Time's 2026 Women of the Year.
Early life
Taylor was born Teyana Me Shay Jacqueline Taylor in New York. She began performing as a child and was discovered while dancing at a talent show.

Taylor signed with Roc Nation and released her debut album 'VII' in 2014, followed by 'K.T.S.E.' in 2018. She gained critical acclaim for her acting roles in films and television, earning major award nominations and winning a Golden Globe for her performance.
