Early life
Trier was born on January 17, 1996, in Portland, Oregon. He attended high school in the Portland area before committing to play college basketball at the University of Arizona.
Path and career
Trier played for the University of Arizona Wildcats from 2015 to 2017, where he became a key scorer for the program. He was selected 27th overall by the New York Knicks in the 2017 NBA Draft.
After his rookie season with the Knicks, Trier has played for several NBA teams including the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and others. He has appeared in NBA games as both a starter and bench player throughout his professional career.
