Early life
Skinner was born December 9, 1996, in Arizona. She began gymnastics training as a child and developed into an elite-level competitor.
Path and career
Skinner competed for the University of Utah and won multiple NCAA championships in vault. She was selected to the U.S. Olympic team for Rio 2016, where she competed in vault.
She returned to elite competition and earned a spot on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic team as an alternate. Skinner won a silver medal on vault at the Tokyo Games after competing as a replacement athlete.
