Early life
Delaney grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia. He attended Deep Creek High School before playing college basketball.
Path and career
Delaney played college basketball at the University of Alabama from 2007 to 2011. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2011 and has since played for multiple NBA teams including the Hawks, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, and Knicks.
Beyond the NBA, Delaney has had a successful career playing professionally in Europe, including stints in the Turkish League and other international competitions. He has been a reliable backup point guard throughout his professional career.
