Pierre Jean-Jacques Gasly is a French racing driver who competes in Formula One for Alpine. Gasly won the 2020 Italian Grand Prix with AlphaTauri.
Early life
Gasly was born on February 7, 1996, in Rouen, Normandy, France. He grew up in a motorsporting family and began karting at a young age.
Path and career
Gasly progressed through junior single-seater categories, winning the 2016 Formula 2 feature race at Baku. He made his Formula One debut in 2017 with Toro Rosso and has since driven for Red Bull Racing, AlphaTauri, and Alpine.
His career highlight came at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix, where he secured his first and only F1 victory in wet conditions at Monza. Gasly has consistently been a competitive midfield driver and occasional podium finisher in Formula One.
