Their story
Who they were
Jenna Nicole Mourey, better known as Jenna Marbles, is an American comedian and former YouTuber. Over the span of ten years, her YouTube channel has accumulated approximately 1.8 billion video views and, at its peak, over 20 million subscribers. After apologizing for a series of accusations involving content in her older videos, Marbles announced her indefinite hiatus from the platform in 2020.
Early life
Mourey was born in Rochester, New York, and grew up in the northeastern United States. She earned a degree in psychology and Italian studies from Boston University before pursuing content creation.
Path and career
Marbles launched her YouTube channel in 2010, initially posting comedy sketches and commentary videos that quickly gained a large following. Her content evolved to include vlogs, challenges, and videos featuring her Italian Greyhound dogs, which became central to her channel's identity.
In June 2020, Marbles apologized for offensive content in her older videos and announced an indefinite hiatus from YouTube. She has not returned to regular content creation since that announcement.
